Building Shell

Eagle Builders was brought on to support the construction of an addition to the GH Dawe Community Centre in Red Deer, Alberta, with the construction of the building shell utilizing the speed of precast concrete. We were able to support this institutional construction project by reducing the timelines and helping the project remain on budget.

As it is an addition to the existing building structure, Eagle Builders’ team had to create solutions to attach and tie in the extension with the existing building. We removed existing columns in the building and replaced them with a new structure. This was all executed while the facility was operational and, therefore, had to be completed so as not to disrupt the users of the community centre. We also built the spray park in the facility, and we worked with the client’s schedule. The exterior finish was retro brick and formliner, which helped eliminate the need to bring in additional parties to finish the exterior.

Project Stats
