Charis Village is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing seniors housing for faith-based residents in the City of Lacombe. Charis Village required a new structure to meet the growing demand that could be designed and constructed quickly. Eagle Builders was engaged to design, manufacture and build the four-story complex consisting of 46 units and a below-grade parking garage. Aside from the roof, the entire structure is fabricated from precast concrete, including the parkade, walls and floors. The board members saw many benefits in using precast concrete, including added fire protection, accelerated construction and lower annual maintenance and operational costs.
